Just in time for Christmas, Bang & Olufsen has revealed its latest Beoplay Eleven wireless earbuds. Based on the Danish audio brand’s excellent Beoplay EX earbuds, the new design offers improved sound with active noise cancellation with transparency and voice clarity modes.
The ANC function on the Beoplay Eleven delivers double the amount of noise reduction at lower frequencies and improved optimization when used with different ear shapes and sizes. Bang & Olufsen claims the ANC on their new earbuds is their best to date.
To achieve this improved ANC, Bang & Olufsen has used six updated microphones that work faster and more efficiently, producing much less hiss for a better sound with a clearer, louder and more natural-sounding transparency mode.
For the external microphones, Bang & Olufsen has used additional holes in the stem of the earbuds with a fine mesh padding that it claims gives a more open sound and is much better at reducing relieve pressure. Wind noise is filtered out more effectively when the Wind Guard feature is activated using the B&O app, letting users remain aware of their surroundings whether that be traffic or travel announcements.
Beoplay Eleven supports Multipoint connectivity and voice call performance thanks to the addition of new the microphones. Bang & Olufsen says that the important hardware updates coupled with a new voice solution in software offers better call clarity and precision under all conditions for what the brand claims is its best voice call performance in any of its earbuds to date.
The design of the Beoplay Eleven is by Thomas Bentzen and was inspired by the brand’s Beoplay H100 headphones. Made with high-quality materials and colors that were inspired by fine jewelry, the earbuds are available in two new colorways. The first finish is Natural Aluminum and features deep black contrasted against natural toned aluminum. The second finish is a warm copper-toned aluminum set against a neutral grey.
The Beoplay Eleven earbuds feature Bang & Olufsen’s signature material of polished aluminum with a glass touch interface, housed within a pearl-blasted aluminum charging case that’s light and durable.
The ear tips are made from silicone that molds to any ear shape for a comfortable fit. The stem-based shaped of the earbuds provide optimal microphone placement and efficient reduction of unwanted background sounds. Beoplay Eleven also has an environmental rating of IP57 enabling them to be used in the rain.
Importantly, the new Beoplay Eleven are designed so their batteries can be replaced at a service center. This feature aligns with the EU’s sustainability goals of requiring replaceable batteries in electronic devices from February 2027, providing consumers with a product that can be used for longer.
